Spring into spring with sweets

Warmer weather and brighter colors can inspire some serious kitchen fun. And while Mother Rucker’s treats are good any time of the year, there are certain tastes that signify the start of a new season, including fresh herbs, rich flavors and colorful hues. Here are a few of our favorites:

Lemon Rosemary Sugar Gems – Taste the freshness of spring with these delightfully different lemon sugar cookies. We’ve added the unexpected crisp and fragrant flavor of rosemary to our sunny lemon cookies to create a sophisticated treat to brighten up any springtime dessert tray.

Bird’s Nest Cookies – Just in time for Easter, this cookie is great for kids… or for kids at heart. All you need are some classic go-to cookie ingredients, shredded coconut and pastel M&Ms to complete the bird’s nest look. Not only are these cookies delicious, but they’re as fun to make as they are to eat. Click the link to see the full recipe.

Vanilla Lavender Sugar Gems – These palette-pleasing lavender sugar cookies are perfect for teatime or a picnic. For the cookie enthusiast in search of something fresh and different, we’ve added delicate lavender flowers to our vanilla dough to create an uncommonly good cookie.

Mint Chocolate Meringue – Light and airy, this recipe for Mint Chocolate Meringue cookies yields several dozen treats for the health-conscious cookie lover. The mint flavor packs a punch on its own, but when you add milk chocolate chips (or dark chocolate for a richer taste), the cookie takes on a life of its own. Easy to make and delicious to eat, mint chocolate meringue pairs well with your morning coffee or evening wine.

Custom Cookies. Create your own spring sweet with a seasonal monogram, photograph or pre-chosen graphic. Our customizable scratch-made sugar cookies come in two flavors:  Almond with Almond Icing and Lemon with Lemon Icing.
